This Privacy Policy explains how BookingsPlace ("we", "us", or "our") collects,
uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website,
mobile applications, and services (together, the "Platform"), which connect
customers with vendors offering bookable services.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — name, email address, phone number, password, and your role (customer or vendor).
- Profile information — profile photos, business details, service listings, descriptions, pricing, and availability (for vendors).
- Verification documents — identity or business verification materials (KYC) submitted by vendors, which we store privately and share only as required to verify your account.
- Bookings and messages — booking requests, reservation details, reviews, disputes, and communications you send through the Platform.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, listings browsed, searches, and actions taken on the Platform.
- Device and log data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and access timestamps.
- Location — approximate location used to show nearby listings, where you enable it.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Platform's core features.
- To process bookings between customers and vendors, and to facilitate payments.
- To verify vendor identities and maintain trust and safety.
- To send transactional notifications (booking updates, receipts, security alerts) by in-app inbox, email, or SMS.
- To respond to your requests, resolve disputes, and provide customer support.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To improve and develop our services and comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
- Between customers and vendors — when you make or accept a booking, the details reasonably necessary to fulfill it (such as name and booking details) are shared with the other party.
- Service providers — vendors who process data on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, email, and SMS delivery, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BookingsPlace, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full
card numbers on our servers. Payment providers process your card and billing
information under their own privacy policies. Where BookingsPlace holds booking
funds in escrow prior to release, we retain the transaction records needed to
manage that process, issue refunds, and resolve disputes.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to
provide the Platform. We may retain certain data after account closure where
necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution
obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or update your personal information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
You can manage most account and profile information directly in the app. To
exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We may need to
verify your identity before acting on a request.
7. How we protect your information
We use technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit,
access controls, and private storage of sensitive documents — to protect your
information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we
cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us
with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material
changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate,
notify you through the Platform.

information, contact us at:
